OKLAHOMA CITY – May 9, 2025City officials and community leaders officially broke ground on the new MAPS 4 Family Justice Center, a major $42 million project that will be operated by Palomar, Oklahoma City’s Family Justice Center.

Funded through the voter-approved MAPS 4 initiative, the upcoming Family Justice Center is a vital step forward in Oklahoma City’s mission to combat domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, elder abuse, and child trauma. Palomar, which currently partners with numerous agencies, will use the new facility to significantly expand its wraparound services for survivors.

Located along Hudson Avenue between NW 11th and NW 12th Streets, the 72,884-square-foot center is set to open in 2027. Once complete, it will offer extended hours and enhanced services, including victim advocacy, trauma therapy, medical care, child and educational support, and an on-site food pantry.

This groundbreaking marks a transformational investment in public safety and survivor support,” said Tricia Everest, Palomar Board Chair. “This facility will bring together local, state, and federal partners to create a safer future for Oklahoma City.”

MAPS Program Manager David Todd emphasized the project’s community impact: “This facility will be a hub for resources and nonprofit services that directly support survivors of violence in our city.”

The center was designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and will be constructed by Crossland Construction.
